Next Friday, June 24th, we will celebrate the end of the IPL Winter/Spring 2016 by having our traditional banquet. Prizes will be awarded, platitudes will be expressed and alcohol will be consumed.

All league members who have competed in 3 separate matches this past season are welcome to join us free of charge. Those who have played in one or two matches can enter for 15,000won and members can bring guests at a cost of 30,000won per head.

There will be an opportunity to sign up for the new season early at the banquet too. Teams can pay a deposit of 100,000won to register for next season.

The finals took place last Wednesday and Scrooge Pub Phoenix eventually took their maiden crown by defeating the resilient Wonky Triangles 8-5. The standard was very high and included 4 special games and Phoenix celebrated by drinking the pub dry...of coke :) Boomtown Rats salvaged some pride, as defending champions, by shooting down the luckless Angry Birds. If only the Angry Birds could play Potato every week!

In the B Championship, Banana Scrubbers felt the Pain by losing the last four frames as JJ's team took the title 8-6. Once again the place for drama was Sin Bin (3 playoff games at that venue all ended 8-7) as Tomato did their best to lose by throwing away a 7-2 lead before taking the final game.

Zzyzx simply strolled to victory in Championship C and taught Dolce that Life wasn't so Sweet. Ballistics simply destroyed Runners in the 3rd place playoff.

Thanks to all teams, and especially the captains, for making this season memorable and, above all, very competitive. Congratulations to all the winners and commiserations to the others (losers sounds too harsh). See you at the banquet.
