Midseason Doubles Money Tournament - Results
Yesterday saw a highly creditable 22 players descend on Itaewon for the doubles tournament. There were thrills and spills, Hollywood shots and unbelievable misses. After an evening of high drama the following teams emerged victorious.
1st Place: Jon Bell (Shenanigans HELL FIRES) & Foster Burden (Sam Ryan's Chalk and Awe)
2nd Place: Johnny Black (Sam Ryan's Chalk and Awe) & Scott Mansz (Sam Ryan's Chalk and Awe)
3rd Place: Kirill 'Iceman' Kim (JR Pub Super Strokers) & Andy Han (Bulldog Avengers)
4th Place: Han 'Sampaguita★' Song Yi (King Pub Timeout) & Lenny Erickson (Sam Ryan's Rats)
Well done to the winners and thanks to everyone who came out to play. Thanks also to Scott, Ben, and Darryl for helping to run the tournament.
And of course thanks and appreciation to Sam Ryans and Shenanigans for hosting.

Winter/Spring 2024 Organizational Meeting
On Wednesday Jan 10th 2024 we met at Dolce Vita to set up the new season. 11 teams registered and there is hope that we will have one more team before matches start.
The evening began with mingling, small talk, New Year greetings, and some promises of vengeance for past defeats.
Our esteemed President opened proceedings and informed the captains that there will be no matches on April 10th and it can be used for make up matches. May 15th is also a holiday but it is undecided if there will be matches on this date.
The captains were then reminded about the rules for slow play, shot clock, and timeouts. They were encouraged to familiarize themselves with the rules and to use them as necessary.
There were also questions about double-hit/push shots and frozen balls. Again the captains were encouraged to review all the rules and to also ensure players who referee the games are also familiar with them.
The captains then voted on whether or not to scrap personal rating points for doubles tournaments. The resolution was defeated by 7 votes to 3 and so there will be no change.
There was a discussion about creating a 5th executive committe position. This member would be in charge of IT and social media. Andrew and Ben agreed to discuss the issue further and report back at a later date.
The meeting was thus concluded in an atmosphere of cooperation, fraternity, and bonhomie.

Midseason Doubles Money Tournament
This Saturday 2/24 we will have the Midseason Money Doubles Tournament.
Higher ranked players and lower ranked players will be paired randomly. Scotch doubles only.
All players who have played at least one match this season are eligible to play.
Entry fee: 10,000 won
Payout:
1st Place - 140,000won
2nd Place - 100,000won
3rd Place - 60,000won
4th Place - 40,000won
Sign Ups at Sam Ryan's from 3pm to 3:45.
Play starts 4pm at Sam Ryan's and Shenanigans.
We hope to see a lot of people out to play!

End of Season Doubles Trophy Tournament
We had a respectable (in number only) 20 players turn out for the doubles tournament yesterday. After much tooing and froing, a little feinting and parrying, and a dash of incisiveness the following teams made off with the trophies.

2nd Place: Shin Joon Woo (King Pub Komodo Dragons) & Lenny Erickson (Sam Ryans Rats)
