Mid Season Singles Tournamnet

The summer/fall 2013 mid-season singles tournament is this Saturday, September 7 and the sign-up will be from 3pm - 3:30pm at Sin Bin. Please note the earlier cut-off time. This is so matches can hopefully start at 4pm.

This willl be a singles trophy tournament, divided into 2 brackets. The upper bracket will play at Sin Bin and Bulldog and the lower bracket at Dolce Vita a nd Shenanigans. The cut-off point will be decided on the day of the competition depending on who turns up. Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for each bracket.

The tournament will be double elimination if fewer than 48 players (24 per bracket) sign up. If more than 48 players sign up it will be single elimination.

The tournamnet is open to all Itaewon Pool League members who have played a minimum of 3 matches this season.

As this is a trophy tournament there will be no entry fee.

This year's banquet will now be on December 6, not December 13 as previously posted. This is due to a previous booking at the hotel on the date we ideally wanted.

Scrooge Pub

The new Scrooge Pub has a new location.

It is now open and is on the main drag, next to Dolce Vita. The entrance is on the main road by ABC Mart.

Tomorrows match between Seoul Pub Futa and the Scrooge Pub Wonky Triangles will be at the new location, not JR as previously stated.

General stuff

Thanks to all the teams who paid their league fees promptly. It is hoped the last inevitable few that didn't will pay in the next couple of days. If they don't pay before their matches on Wednesday, penalties will be imposed.

Also greatly appreciated is the number of score sheets that have been handed in and, on the most part, the prompt entering of match scores into the website. It is the responsibility of BOTH captains, not just the captain of the home side to ensure the match is entered correctly and that all the names are correct. All captains should have a login by now. If you don't have a login, please email me asap as after this coming Wednesday I'll be away for the next 5 weeks.

If, especially during this holiday period, captains are away, another team member can be designated a co-captain who can also enter match scores and edit the team. If you contact me I can set this up.

For other members who wish to login to the website, ask your team captain to enter an email address and username for you by using the edit player option. Then they can click on the forgot password option on the front page of the website and login help will be emailed to them.

Finally, anyone still looking for a team or who knows someone who wants to play this season, JR Pub is looking for players.
