First, I would like to say thank you to all the captains and players. You are all doing a magnificent job in recording the scores and updating your rosters. It makes our job a lot easier.
Here are the important dates for this season, in case you didn't know or didn't remember. If you simply don't care, then stop reading this right now.

The dates for the tournaments may change, depending on random whims from the Executive Committee. But the other dates are set in stone.

The 2018 Winter/Spring End of Season Banquet is upon us.
Date: Friday, June 15th
Time: 7:00 - 10:00 pm
Place: Crown Hotel
Price of admission:
Free to any league member who has played at least 3 matches this season
15,000 won for any league member who has played only 1 or 2 matches this season
30,000 won for all non-league member guests
There will be an excellent buffet, open bar (that means free booze and beer), raffle prizes (more booze and beer), 50/50 raffle (so the winner can buy more booze and beer), team awards, individual awards, and a chance to have a good laugh.
Oh, yes, I almost forgot. Free booze and beer.
Come on out and celebrate another successful Itaewon Pool League season.

The 2018 Summer/Fall Season will begin next week.
The Organizational Meeting will be held at Shenanigans at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, July 4th. All teams that are interested in playing need to have a representative at the meeting.
If you wish to have a team, you need to pay and initial deposit of 100,000 won at the meeting. You will also need to give the Executive Committee the name of your captain and his/her contact information (telephone and email), as well as the bar that will be hosting your team.
The total fees per team are 350,000 won. These must be paid by the 3rd week of the upcoming season.
The first week of matches for the season will be held on Wednesday, July 11th.
Please contact the Executive Committee prior to the meeting if you wish to register a team, so that we can have an idea of how many teams we will be having next season.

We will be holding a fundraising tournament/wake for John Redmond on Saturday, June 2nd at Fat Alberts and Shenanigans.
Registration from 2:30 - 3:30 at Fat Alberts.
₩10,000 entry with a one-time ₩5,000 buy-back.
There will be a Calcutta auction and two divisions, upper and lower (if we get enough players).
The Calcutta auction and raffle drawings will start at 3:30, and the tournament will start at 4:00 pm.
There are good raffle prizes available, so come out, bring money, and let's celebrate John's life as he best knew how, with beer, pool and friends.
