Important dates for Your Diary:

Organisational Meeting for the New League Season will be on Wednesday, July 10th

The First Round of Matches wil be on Wednesday, July 17th

Charity Tournament for Seoul Crushers Asia Pool Challenge will be on Saturday, July 27th

A huge thank you to all who attended our end of season banquet. Special thanks to Russell, Sheery and Sunny for providing invaluable support and help on a busy night for the executive committee.

Many congratulations to our trophy winners and our ultimate champions of each division, Scrooge Pub Abusement Park, Catch Me Troublemakers and Dolce Vita Money Shot.

It was also very nice, and touching, to welcome Mr. Woo and Johnny Magyaros to our Hall of Fame.

Finally, an apology, we were unaware of the extent of the renovation work being carried out at The Crown Hotel last night and would like to apologise (or apologize, if you're American) for the lack of food. We were offered a partial refund by the hotel and we have accepted their apology.

Please enjoy a few weeks break and we look forward to breaking off a new season in mid July.

This Saturday, June 1st, we will have a tournament to raise money for Mr. IPL (2012-present), Lenny Erickson. Lenny is facing his second round of serious surgery this year and will likely be absent from the Itaewon scene for around 6 weeks from the beginning of August. This tournament will aim to raise funds to help pay for the surgery and alleviate the burden of being unable to walk, let alone work, for a considerable period. We will have a raffle (including a cue, generously donated by Paul Riddle worth around 300,000won), a Calcutta Auction, and the tournament will be split into Upper and Lower Brackets. It's also a very good chance to warm up for the playoffs and it is something to do whilst we all wait for Tottenham vs Liverpool to kick off at 4am (Come On You Spurs!)

Date: Saturday, June 1st

Venues: Shenanigans & Scrooge

Sign Ups: Shenanigans 3:00-3:45pm

Cost: 10,000won entry + 5,000won buy back in

I will go around the venues on Wednesday to sell raffle tickets in advance to those who can't make the tournament but still want to help out a good man!

Please come and join us for our traditional End of Season Banquet this Friday, June 21st, at the Crown Hotel.

Date: Friday, June 21st

Time: 7pm-10pm

Venue: The Crown Hotel

Stipulations: Free to members who have played 3 weeks of the season or more. 15,000won to those who played 1 or 2 weeks and 30,000won to those who just want to join in the celebrations without having held a cue stick since January.

A full buffet meal will be provided, along with lashings of free alcohol and soft drinks. Listen and enjoy our season review as we hand out plaudits, trophies and thanks to all those who helped us on another successful season. There will also be a raffle with some wonderful prizes (so bring some cash) and the evening will be hosted by the one, and only, Mr. Lenny Erickson.

Once again, thanks for a brilliant season and see you on Friday.

Dominic, Lenny, Helen and Jumie

This Saturday, you lucky people have the chance to take some hard earned cash from the IPL coffers...but only if you beat a load of other fine (upper bracket) or average (lower bracket) pool players in the process. It's our End of Season Singles Money Tournament.

Date: Saturday, May 25th

Venues: Dolce Vita, Scrooge, JJ's and King Pub

Sign Ups: Dolce Vita from 3:00-3:45pm

Entry: 10,000won to all those who have competed in three (3) separate weeks this season

Pay Outs: 1st Place: 240,000won (plus a trophy)

               2nd Place: 160,000won

               3rd Place: 120,000won

               4th Place: 80,000won

We hope to see many of you there on Saturday.

And while I have your undivided attention, we will have a tournament for Lenny Erickson on Saturday, June 1st. He is facing his second bout of major surgery this year and is unlikely to be walking, let alone working, for a 6 week period from the beginning of August. Lenny does a tremendous amount of work for the league, a lot of it unnoticed (unless you're lucky enough to work along side him), and this is your chance to say thank you by participating, donating and supporting an IPL legend and Hall of Famer. More details will follow next week.
