Hi guys, sorry to butt in on the Boomtown Rats love-in!
Having consulted with my team I'll be voting to keep the doubles as is - the home team calls scotch or regular. I think a lot of other captains will be doing the same. A lot of players outside the top teams don't feel confident enough to play scotch as they don't have the requisite white ball skills. They also feel more pressure as if they make a mistake it affects their partner directly.
The average ranking of players in the IPL is probably in the low 1600s (is there any way to check this?). I think that this needs to be considered when legislating for the league.

Ronan I agree.Some teams have a few good players, but not a full boat. To these teams, regular doubles may give a better chance to win, even against stronger teams. Taking away regular doubles would be hadicapping many teams. Lenny Doubles XDoublennies O
