Just an idea and I haven't really thought it through but I thought I'd post here to see what people think.
How about a tournament in the format of mini-teams of three people? The threes could be self selecting or blind draw or maybe the entrants could be put in three stratas with each team containing a player from each strata.
The teams could play each other in a tournament double elim format in a straight race to two wins. This means you could win all your matches and get nowhere, or lose all your matches and win the tournament which could be fun. It would also lead to a lot of matches resting on the third game which could be exciting and teams would have to work together on strategy.
It could be a fun way to meet and play with people from other teams. Just a thought, whaddya reckon?
