Wow Really?
why don't we just divide the League into two teams and every wednesday we can meet up and not keep score, and while were at it, who needs ratings anyway.

Here's a little ecerpt from Songtans homepage and finance sheet.... 1.6 million won in prizes... this is why you want more players. do I really need to spell out that leagues like this rely on participation and dues being assesed properly? They have many players because their league dolls out goodies. They have damn near 650 players.
On the finance sheet the web hosting fee's stick out to me.
here's finance sheet:

Here's their last tournament:
We had a great turnout for the end of season tournament with 120 players. Special thanks to Stereo for hosting. And thanks to Shorty's, Xanadu, Rhino, Touchdown, Moonpower, Click, Avalon, Jammers, People's, and First Class for opening early to allow play.
Even with 120 players we finished up before midnight. Here's your big winners:

  • 1st Jin - 500,000KRW

  • 2nd Bill - 400,000KRW

  • 3rd Yoon - 300,000KRW

  • 4th Gin Hee - 200,00-KRW

  • 5th Dirtbag - 150,000KRW

  • 6th Noriel - 100,000KRW

  • I Propose establishing and electinga Steering committee (6-10 People)to evaluate major overhauls to the league format and structure, that addresses lack of a administrative team between seasons and looks for ways to improve the league over a longer term.

Mark, Songtan league has "damn near 650 players," but a cursory look at their website reveals they also have around 65 bars! That's ten players per bar.
Itaewon pool league has 375 players, but only 18 bars. That's over 20 players per bar.
I'd say Itaewon was a far healthier league.
